Why are my car speakers making this sound?

I have a after market raido in my car with original factory speakers. first of all i never had any problems with my car speakers until my friend threw a drink at one. That day i kept hearing a crackling/ static noise only throught that one speaker. i replaced that one speaker and i still hear tht same noise. Also if i hit the AUX on to my radio that same noise plays jsut 10x as loud. Could my wires or radio be shorted out? HELP! please the noise is crazy annoying!
