Should I go away for Christmas?

I'm sorry that is a very difficult position to be in and that's crappy your mom is making it so difficult of you. I know she is sad, but she's older and part of me thinks she should compromise and at least still be with you by coming to your house. Otherwise if you go on a trip you will be ruining all of your plans, maybe try going on a trip over new years or find another time to get away with your mom that won't make you so frustrated over what to do.
