What sorts of students stand out to professors?

I'm very much similar... i think it is just the way eye contact is made, usually when someone makes eye contact with me ( im guessing you too) they tend to loose their concentration on whatever they were talking about, thats why i tend to avoid eye contact with teachers, it creates a kinda awkward moment
