Does a person resurrects continuously 'til henosis or only until his or her mission on earth is fulfilled?

how would resurrecting continually make a person achieve henosis? Seems to me that when a person dies they've lost their body and are only a soul - and since the bible says that mankind's soul was breathed into us from the very "breath" of god, this means that our soul IS the essence of god. So by definition our soul IS god, and not in disunity at all. Unless god can be in disunity with himself.
